It’s an education

THUS attended the Association of University Administrators (AUA) Conference and Exhibition last week.  The event, held in London’s Thistle City Barbican Hotel, was attended by more than 60 key communication decision makers from a range of higher education institutions across the UK, as well as many of our direct competitors in the sector.

Delegates enjoyed a wide ranging and diverse programme of presentations, case study sessions and workshops and a varied programme of social events and networking opportunities over the 3 days of the conference – including a drinks reception held by a competitor at BT Tower – though we weren’t invited to that, funnily enough.

We can only imagine that our rival was telling our higher education colleagues about what they have planned in terms of products and services as they try and play catch-up with THUS and attempt to dent our reputation as the supplier of choice in the sector.

“It was a great chance for THUS’s education team to talk with people who have a genuine interest in our communications infrastructure, products and services.  It gave us the opportunity to find out more about their needs and some of the issues they are dealing with at the moment and there is no substitute for getting face to face feedback from our customers.   All in all, a very worthwhile couple of days.”
